Why Hike Lake Agnes and Plain of the Six Glaciers

Soaring peaks, glaciers and scenic lakes are the hallmarks of this classic hike visiting the main attractions in the Lake Louise Valley; Lake Agnes, the Big Beehive and the Plain of the Six Glaciers. Ambitious hikers will also what to climb the Little Beehive, a side trip that adds a mile to the hike.

Lake Louise and the hike’s various destinations are quite popular, so don’t expect solitude on the trail. My advice is to get an early start to beat the crowds. As with most hikes, the further you get from the trailhead the fewer people you will find along the path.
